Who Qualifies For Your Bursary Or University Student Loan From NSFAS?
The National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) has officially opened the 2025 application procedure.
Applications at the moment are open and will shut on 15 December 2024.
*** Who qualifies for NSFAS funding
To qualify for NSFAS funding, an applicant will have to satisfy the following criteria:
• Be a South African citizen or copyright who originates from a house which has a combined gross house earnings that doesn't exceed R350 000 per annum.
• Persons with disabilities qualify if their combined house profits doesn't exceed R600 000 per annum.
• SASSA recipients instantly qualify for funding and need not submit any evidence of earnings.
*** Loan Scheme for the Missing Middle
The NSFAS Loan Scheme for the missing middle is open to all South African citizens and permanent nsfas check residents from homes with combined R350 000 and R600 000 for every annum.
Applicants are reminded to deliver the correct Identity Doc numbers, names, and surname, as mirrored of their South African ID.
NSFAS only funds people who are researching or plan to research at a general public university or TVET college in South Africa.
All students who wish to study in any of the public universities and TVET colleges should apply timeously and not to wait until the my nsfas last day.
Learners do not have to wait for matric results to apply for NSFAS. They should apply nsfas status now and avoid delays in the processing of their application.
